I need to detail our some changes
concerning our Dallas/Fort Worth Graduation.
PLEASE SHARE THESE DETAILS WITH THE EVERYONE COMING TO THE DFW METROPLEX FROM
OUT OF TOWN SO THEY MAKE ARRANGEMENTS.
Rehearsal will be held at the following location:
GRACE ASSEMBLY OF GOD
2801 Sam Houston Rd.
Dallas, TX 75227
DATE: Saturday, June 7th, 5:30pm-9pm
Graduation ceremony will be held at the following location:
PALACIO DEL REY
2951 South Fwy
Fort Worth Texas 76104
DATE: Sunday, June 8th, 9:30am-12:30pm
We have decided to have our rehearsal on Saturday for it will be more than just
pictures and passing out gowns. We will hold a fellowship evening with the
graduates at the Dallas location. The fellowship will include a meal, and
the special recognitions ceremony. Recognitions will be passed out on this
rehearsal evening to shorten the length of the Graduation ceremony the
following day (on Sunday). Attendance to the rehearsal is mandatory since
graduation gowns will be passed out then.
Graduation ceremony will be held at the Fort Worth location on Sunday during
that church's morning service (Sunday June 8th, 9:30am-12:30pm). Since
we'll be graduating close to 100 students, we need to use the biggest temple
available to us, and that's Palacio del Rey (Spanish for "Palace of the
King"). Website: www.palaciodelrey.com
We will be live on local Christian TV, and also Livestream through
internet. The TV channel's owner is my student so we've already made
arrangements to stream live. Our audience will be that church's
congregation of approximately 1,000 members, plus all guests and graduates'
family members.
DRESS ATTITE FOR GRADUATES:
MEN:
1) White collar shirt
2) Dress tie (either black, dark blue, or burgundy)
3) Black or dark blue pants
4) Black dress shoes
WOMEN:
1) White collar shirt
2) Black or dark blue pants or skirt
3) Black closed shoes (no open toe). I recommend comfortable shoes for relaxed
coziness.
4) Hair must be let loose in order to fit the graduation cap.
This dress attire must be worn BOTH DAYS; rehearsal, and graduation
ceremony. Therefore I recommend everyone brings two sets; or at least 2
white collar shirts. (I personally sweat heavily or end up feeding my
shirt as I eat, hehehe!! LOL). We will be taking pictures on rehearsal
evening, that's why everyone must be properly dressed that evening as well.
Dress attire is mandatory and NOT NEGOTIABLE.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
I am already negotiating discounted rates in local hotels. My goal is for
everyone to stay at the same hotel. This will help us all in
transportation back and forth to both locations. I am working on a hotel
with nearby stores, restaurants, and shopping centers.
LANGUAGES:
Rehearsal, recognitions, Praise & Worship, printed programs and graduation
ceremony will be held in English with translation to Spanish.
